Our mission is to help leaders create environments in which people can thrive. That means opening the doors to creativity, innovation, and risk taking, helping people realize their potential, and creating an environment rich in motivation, trust, commitment, and accountability. Creating such an environment takes guts - not just courage but an array of abilities rooted in our emotional intelligence.

Drawing on new research from the worlds of business, medicine, neuroscience, psychology, and linguistics, we offer keynotes, half-, full-, and multi-day programs on how to help people achieve the level of performance and personal achievement they want. The following programs can stand alone or be teamed with ongoing coaching to help people translate what they know into action and results. Better yet, let us customize a topic and format to fit the purpose you want to achieve and get the greatest impact for your audience.

FOR GENERAL AUDIENCES

  • ADVANCED COACHING SKILLS FOR IN-HOUSE COACHES
Growing numbers of organizations are relying on in-house coaches to help develop people. To be effective, coaches must continually expand their own self-awareness and their capacity to help others learn and grow; they must continually develop themselves. This cutting-edge program, facilitated by a highly skilled executive and leadership coach, gives in-house coaches both content learning to enhance what they do and experiential learning to enhance who and how they are.

  • EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE: DON'T LEAVE HOME WITHOUT IT
Emotion is the source of our energy. It's what fuels our passion and commitment, and drives our performance. Think about what's most powerful in your life. It's the stuff you have an emotional connection with. If you want to create a high performance environment, you need to be expert at making emotional connections. This program shows you why EI is critical to high performance and how to cultivate it.

  • FORGET CHANGE MANAGEMENT; THINK RESILIENCE
Building on time-tested wisdom and new research in positive psychology, this program reframes the experience of change in ways that throw open new doors of opportunity. Whether you're struggling to keep up or racing ahead and trying to drag everyone with you, this program gives you an inside look at what it really takes to become resilient in the midst of continual change.

  • FROM ZERO TO KILL: THE ANATOMY OF ANGER
Anger is one of the most powerful and complex emotions we know. It can give us strength, determination, and relief. Or it can lead us directly the other way: cloud our judgment, trigger our ire, wreck our health. From everyday conflict to bubbling rage, this program helps you understand where it comes from, what it does, and how to manage it constructively when it boils up in you or bubbles over from others.

  • LEADING ACROSS GENERATIONS: HOW TO MAKE YOUR BUSINESS THEIR BUSINESS
The latest generation to enter the workforce expects and responds to a much different model than the traditional model guiding most of their leaders and managers. Top-down management doesn't wash with younger employees. This program explores what's important to each generation, highlights their strengths, and shows you how to use generational differences to grow yourself and sustain your organization's success.

  • STRESS, STRIPES, AND STEREOTYPES
People are dancing as fast as they can, and still not feeling like they have much control over the quality of their lives. This program, which explores both the inter- and intrapersonal dynamics of emotional intelligence at work, shows you how the natural patterns of our relationships and our thinking define the results we get. It also offers the best strategies we know for turning stressful situations to your advantage.

  • THE BOOMER BRAIN DRAIN: A SERIES OF PROGRAMS ON CAPTURING CRITICAL EXPERTISE BEFORE IT'S TOO LATE
Workers born between the mid-1940's and late-'50's form the leading edge of a new phenomenon in this country. They're approaching retirement in droves, and their departure is being felt. Organizations are already challenged to capture the expertise leaving in the wake of their retirements. These programs help you identify what needs to be preserved, and offer methods and tools for capturing and passing on the wisdom and specialized knowledge of key employees throughout the organization, not just in the executive ranks.

  • TACKLING TOUGH CONVERSATIONS
What's your toughest situation? Talking with an employee about his performance? Saying no to your boss? Telling someone her behavior is inappropriate? Handling an angry employee? Tough situations have a thousand faces--and a common structure. This program will show you the structure of tough conversations, how to prepare for and get them started, how to keep them focused and productive, and what to watch for so you don't get derailed. Come with some situations, and get ready to practice.

THE LEADERSHIP CIRCLE™ WORKSHOPS

Leadership skills do not blossom overnight. They must be supported with tried and true programs that enable managers to assimilate what they need over time. The Leadership Circle workshops--in a class by themselves--make this possible. If you are a leader or member of an organization trying to build an empowered, creative, and committed workforce--these workshops are for you.
  • THE AUTHENTIC LEADER WORKSHOP
    The Journey Begins

This workshop is a powerful leadership and team development experience that adds value to, and "unpacks" the 360 Leadership Circle Profile™ (TLCP)*. It engages leaders at every level, from start to finish, by remaining interactive, provocative, and fun. In simulated work situations, leaders get an opportunity to see which of their behaviors work and which ones are counterproductive. After they "catch themselves in the act," they will be able to study their behavioral operating systems under the microscope, and gain insights as to why they behave they way they do.

  • MASTERING LEADERSHIP WORKSHOP
    Navigating the Journey

This is a powerful three-day leadership and team development experience. It focuses on developing leadership mastery. It teaches the practices of "inside-out" leadership development, explores leadership from the hub of the political realities found in most organizations, and helps people experience the conflicting tensions within the politics of organizational life. In this way, it helps leaders and teams work with greater vision, courage and authenticity. Mastering Leadership is highly experiential. Participants learn by doing and reflecting.

  • PATHWAYS TO PARTNERSHIP WORKSHOP
    The Deep Dive

Eighty five percent of change efforts fail to achieve envisioned results. Strategic change efforts often get blocked by internal maneuvering and cautious positioning. This workshop is designed for leadership teams that are so serious about their change efforts that they want to be aware of how their behavior is supporting or hindering progress towards their vision. Participants gain valuable insight into themselves, their leadership, and learn how to become more effective leaders.
